Music

DSC09064Brianna is a singer-songwriter in Toronto who loves to play her own alt-country-inspired songs as well as chill acoustic covers of tunes ranging from Bon Iver to Motown, Joni Mitchell to Justin Bieber, and everything in between.

These days she is resident musician for the Prince Edward County Full Moon Yoga Festival and often performs with singer-songwriter, Michel Neray either as a duo or in a full band. She sang all the harmonies, and played guitar and ukulele, on his debut album, “Kiss the Rock.” Michel and Brianna play at breweries, pubs, and coffee shops around the GTA; they’re known for their close harmonies, accessible repertoire, and fun banter that keeps the audience listening and laughing. A few recent gigs have been at The Granite Brewery, The Clay and Glass Festival (Wychwood Barns), Brock St. Brewery, The Old Sod, Ganaraska Brewing Company, Stonehooker Brewing Company, Penny’s Bar, and Krave Coffee. Their repertoire focuses on early Americana, covers from the 50s-70s, and their own original songwriting. Find out more about upcoming gigs on Instagram.

Brianna started playing music at age 13 after waking up from a dream where she’d been strumming a guitar. Since then, she’s taught herself acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, ukulele, mandolin, bass, harmonica, and drums.

Brianna has experienced the power of music to influence growth, healing, and even just turn around an otherwise crummy day; she aims to express those intentions through her playing.

Brianna has performed as an instrumentalist in a jazz big band, several orchestra pits for musicals, and even a klezmer combo. As a singer and instrumentalist, Brianna has performed as part of indie rock band The Wave Theory (2012-2015), and Oakwood (2017-2018), and as the resident musician at Modo Yoga Uptown in Toronto.
